What to Expect as a Family Caregiver?

First, you are not alone. Relative Care has been assisting family’s and the care of their loved ones for years, and we will provide training and guidance to assist you with caregiving and ensure your success. Typically, as a family caregiver you will provide assistance with instrumental activities of daily living, which include cleaning, cooking, transportation, medication management, laundry, shopping and managing finances.

How is It Possible to Get Paid to Be a Family Caregiver

This is one of the most common questions we receive. In 2020, the National Alliance for Caregiving reported that over 50 million Americans are providing care for a family member without compensation. Residents of Pennsylvania are compensated by their employer through numerous state programs such as the Pennsylvania’s OPTIONS Program, Community HealthChoices Program (CHC), Pennsylvania Services My Way, and/or the Pennsylvania Domiciliary Care program (DOM Care).
